Kovens by the Bay at Florida International University with its majestic and panoramic views overlooking Biscayne Bay transforms every event into a memorable occasion.  Kovens offers an ideal location for ceremonies and cocktail receptions with its 10,930 square foot terrace.  The 5,508 square foot ballroom features floor to ceiling windows overlooking the terrace and bay.  Guests are continuously amazed by the serene environment and private location at Kovens. 

  The Setting

Imagine your guests greeted with champagne as they stroll out on the grand terrace and enjoy the mild breeze before the ceremony.  Your ceremony will be remembered forever with spectacular views of Biscayne Bay in the background, a photographers dream.  Immediately following the ceremony you and your guests will continue to enjoy the views and outdoor air as the celebration continues with cocktails on other side of the terrace. It is time for the dinner and reception; the window shades automatically open to reveal the ballroom and your guests are welcomed inside to begin another experience.

Our experienced staff will work with you to coordinate the details of your most memorable occasion and will be dedicated to your event on the special day.  All of our preferred vendors have developed discounted packages especially for Kovens by the Bay clients.  We are happy to share these packages with you upon a site visit.

We have carefully selected our culinary team with the expectation of creating exceptional cuisine and delivering unsurpassed service at affordable prices. With a fabulous culinary choice of seasonal specialties and traditional favorites, you can choose from several caterers, each offers a variety of menu options with both plated and buffet service. Customized menus and packages are always available upon request.  Beverage service is available through our culinary team.  With our meticulous attention to detail, we have mastered the art of service and the fine art of dining.
