The Roz and Cal Kovens Conference Center serves as an integral part of the Florida International University community.  As a major South Florida meeting destination, the center provides a tranquil learning conference environment, as well as, a venue for social functions and special events.

The construction of the building was made possible by a series of gifts from the Roz and Cal Kovens family.  Designed by Bermello, Ajamil and Partners, Inc., the Conference Center overlooks beautiful Biscayne Bay at the North Miami Campus.  It has more than 31,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space to accommodate over 1,100 people on any given day.  Built in 1995, the center opened its doors for the first time in January 1996.

The Center was awarded the “Venue of the Year Award 2004” by South Florida Chapter of Meeting Planners International (MPI). Since then the center has evolved into one of the leading locations in South Florida for corporate events specializing in small to medium size meetings.  Approved by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), the center and staff have built a reputation on its ability to provide high-level of customer service to its guests.

In 2008 the Roz and Cal Kovens Conference Center became a unit of the world famous School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The center continues to provide exceptional service to its clients under the school’s direction, as well as expanding its reach locally and nationally.
